Thursday the library was closed due to ice storm, but N insisted on going on Friday because he had a feeling that mere State of Emergencies could not keep him from his Pokemon movie. He was wrong, but I got:
- Anya's Ghost, Vera Brosgol. Cybils YA graphic novel.
- Dodsworth in Rome, Tim Egan. Cybils early reader.
- Ghetto Cowboy, G. Neri. Cybils novel (middle grade?)
- I Had a Favorite Dress, Boni Ashburn. Cybils picture book
- Can We Save the Tiger, Martin Jenkins. Cybils NF picture book
This brings me to a total of 48 items out on my card, which includes a few CDs. As of today, I have nothing ovedue. I've very close to fitting all the books in the shelves allotted. I'll go share my Library Loot at the event co-hosted by Claire from the Captive Reader and Marg from The Adventures of an Intrepid Reader, where all the library addicts compare their treasures.

What stiff restrictions are you talking about? Are they self imposed? I have to do that myself from time to time, like right now, when my own shelves are a little too full with books I've yet to read.
Oops, I got distracted by little girls and pushed "Publish" before I was ready. I was going to add: I have a very hard time imposing restrictions on myself at the library. Books are my crack. I get inside the library and turn into a slavering beast. "I want this one and this one and this one and this one...."
It's not pretty.
Oh, I'm doing the TBR challenge, which means only reading books I had in the house on Jan 1st. I'm excluding Cybils finalists because if I wait until April to start reading them I probably won't finish this year. But it means turning off my slavering beast, which is a hard animal to control.
Wow, I admire your restraint. Even with a huge, towering, take-over-my-life TBR stack at home, I can never seem to hold myself back at the library (and since I work there, it's even worse!)
What restraint! Enjoy your loot!
