First Challenge! MIchigan Notable Books

I'm picking out some challenges for this year, and making a resolution to document them better somehow.  Maybe I'll make a bookshelf or something.  But one I just found that looks simple -- read two books from the Michigan 2011 Notables list, sponsered by Jumping the Candlestick.  I found two books in my library, requested them, so how hard will it be?
